Composting 101 + Ask an Expert In-Person
International Compost Awareness Week is May 4th – 10th! This program will introduce patrons to the importance of composting for a building a sustainable community. Robbette Schmit from Winton Manufacturing will explain the environmental, economic, and health benefits of composting and walk us through the different composting options (drop-off versus home composting), as well as the tools and what you need to know to get started. Chelan County Master Gardener and Master Composter Mark Kulaas will also present and answer questions about composting for the garden.
