Kids with Books In-Person
Are you a 3rd through 6th grade kid? Got a book that you're currently reading?*
Come to the library, grab a snack and a pillow, and get reading!
3:30-3:45 Settle in, have a snack
3:45 - 4:15 Silent reading
4:15-4:30 Discuss your book with a partner (optional) or journal about what you're reading
This event is for:
- Voracious readers who want to talk about what they're reading
- Shy readers who want to be around other kids with minimal social pressure
- Social readers who need motivation to sit down and read
- Stuck readers who want book recommendations from their peers
- Developing readers that benefit from a structured-but-casual reading environment
This event will occur on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from January through April (except 1/1).
