Censorship & Why it Matters – Let Freedom Read! In-Person
📚 Banned Book Week 2025: Panel Discussion at Winthrop Library 📚
Join us on October 11th from 4–6pm in the main library space for a powerful community event celebrating Banned Book Week 2025. The Winthrop Library presents a dynamic panel discussion titled “Censorship & Why it Matters – Let Freedom Read!” featuring local authors, librarians, educators, students, and engaged community voices. Together, we'll explore the impact of censorship, the importance of intellectual freedom, and the role of information access and equity in shaping open societies. A Q&A session will follow, inviting attendees to join the conversation and share their perspectives. Let your voice be heard. Let freedom read.
