Successful Sauerkraut & Pickle Making

Successful Sauerkraut & Pickle Making In-Person

Sauerkraut lovers won't want to miss this session! This class will teach the secrets for successful quick-pack and fermented pickle making, pickling without salt and how to prepare sauerkraut.

This is the third session of a five-part food preservation series presented by Washington State University Extension, Chelan/Douglas Counties, in partnership with Waste Loop and NCW Libraries.

Preserving food greatly reduces food waste, saves resources such as water, energy, and land, that are used in food production, and extends access to local, seasonal food throughout the year. Classes are for people just learning how to preserve food and for veteran food preservers who need a refresher course to be sure the food they are preserving is done safely.

Please register for each event individually.
