No Fear When Using a Pressure Canner In-Person
Eliminate the fear when using a dial or weighted gauge pressure canner. Learn how to use a pressure canner and methods for canning vegetables and other low-acid foods. Preserving for special diets and altitude adjustments will be explained.
This is the first session of a five-part food preservation series presented by Washington State University Extension, Chelan/Douglas Counties, in partnership with Waste Loop and NCW Libraries.
Preserving food greatly reduces food waste, saves resources such as water, energy, and land, that are used in food production, and extends access to local, seasonal food throughout the year. Classes are for people just learning how to preserve food and for veteran food preservers who need a refresher course to be sure the food they are preserving is done safely.
Please register for each event individually.
